She Loves the Sunrise
She loves the sunrise,
The promise of the day,
Bright colors splash the cloud banks,
As darkness falls away,
Her face washed in that glory,
She lifts a prayer or two,
And knowing that she’s rising,
I love the sunrise too.
She loves the noontime,
All nature on the go,
The fullness of the sunshine,
That makes the flowers grow,
She’s joyful in her labor,
There’s so much yet to do,
And knowing that she’s busy,
I love the noontime too.
She loves the sunset,
Creator at His best,
Soft colors paint the curtain,
As earth rolls toward its rest,
She sighs in sweet contentment,
God’s promises are true,
And knowing that she’s happy,
I love the sunset too.
She loves the midnight,
The stillness all around,
Starlight calms the heavens,
And moonbeams kiss the ground,
She rests in peaceful slumber,
Her prayers are heard anew,
And knowing that she’s dreaming,
I love the midnight too.
She loves the sunrise . . .
